ABOUT SUSAN WARD

Susan started singing lessons at the young age of 3 with Irene Thompson in Kylemore College. There she also took music theory lessons from the age of 5.

Susan grew up listening to all of the musical scales every day as her father, John Ward, was a music teacher and taught at home. He taught Susan piano, guitar and music theory.

She has been teaching music lessons for 15 years and loves to see her students progressing and finding music easier to perform.

She has entered every singing and drama competition in Ireland since she was a child winning many overall bursaries and awards. Susan has travelled the world with performances, competitions and masterclasses (Graham Johnston, Malcom Martineau, Yvonne Minton, Anne Murray, Sarah Walker).

Susan has been writing songs and composing music since she was a child. Her songs have won awards in Ireland and Los Angeles at the W.C.O.P.A. She loves writing music and has had some songs and music featured on social media projects and the Irish Junior Eurovision finals.

Susan has always been interested in sound engineering and has set up her own recording studio for producing music for artists, composition for film and editing/arranging music for shows. She has been the musical director for many shows taking place in the Olympia, the Gaiety and the Helix.
